MEET OUR PRINCIPAL

Heena Prasad, a multifaceted, innovative and versatile teacher, is the founding principal of Solid Rock Academy. She is a dedicated Christian who possesses a deep-rooted passion for the welfare and development of children. Being an excellent communicator, she relates tremendously with youth and children and is able to motivate and mobilize them to maximize their potential. In addition, she is a consummate team player and is able to interface with people from all walks of life. Ms. Prasad currently holds a Bachelors of Art (Hon) degree in English and History from York University. In addition, she has a Masters of Education degree along with a Graduate Diploma, specializing in International Education from York University. Having taught at numerous levels including elementary through to high school, and as a teaching assitant in college, Ms. Prasad is thoroughly equipped to fulfill the educational mandate of Solid Rock Academy. When away from the classroom, Ms. Prasad can often be found in the church and community teaching youth and children such things as dance, vocals, drama, and important life skills.
