Pastors Garth & Veronica Rowe

Pastors Garth and Veronica Rowe are the founders of Solid Rock Christian Assembly. They make a dynamic and passionate team, and feel God’s calling for them is to impart the life-transforming gospel of Jesus to people in their sphere. Pastor Garth also serves as a Professor at Canada Christian College while Pastor Veronica is a registered Chiropodist (Foot Specialist) who operates her own clinic in the city of Toronto. Having been in ministry for over 20 years, they recognize the importance of today’s education being anchored in a Christian worldview. This realization has led to the establishment of Solid Rock Academy. Their ultimate desire is to equip children to utilize their gifting and flourish in purpose in order to have a powerful and positive impact on the world.

MEET OUR PRINCIPAL

Heena McKoy, a multifaceted, innovative and versatile teacher, is the founding principal of Solid Rock Academy. She is a dedicated Christian who possesses a deep-rooted passion for the welfare and development of children. Being an excellent communicator, she relates tremendously with youth and children and is able to motivate and mobilize them to maximize their potential. In addition, she is a consummate team player and is able to interface with people from all walks of life. Ms. Heena currently holds a Bachelors of Art (Hon) degree in English and History from York University. In addition, she has a Masters of Education degree along with a Graduate Diploma, specializing in International Education from York University. Having taught at numerous levels including elementary through to high school, and as a teaching assitant in college, Ms. Heena is thoroughly equipped to fulfill the educational mandate of Solid Rock Academy. When away from the classroom, Ms Heena can often be found in the church and community teaching youth and children such things as dance, vocals, drama, and important life skills.
